Ferrograd 325g is an iron supplement that can be more gentle on the stomach than other forms of iron supplement. Ferrograd contains 325mg Ferrous Sulphate in a prolonged release formulation, which provides a more balanced absorption in the body over the day. Ferrograd tablets can be used to treat and prevent iron deficiency anaemia.

How to Use

How to Use Ferrograd Dried Ferrous Sulfate 325mg

Adults and Elderly: The recommended dosage is one tablet daily. Tablets should be swallowed whole with water and not chewed or crushed, as this could affect the slow-release mechanism.
Children over 12 years: One tablet daily is usually appropriate. However, always consult a healthcare professional before administering to children.
Children under 12 years: Ferrograd Filmtabs are not recommended for children under 12 years of age.

Ferrograd Dried Ferrous Sulfate 325mg Side Effects

While Ferrograd Filmtabs are generally well-tolerated, some individuals may experience side effects, including:

Constipation or diarrhoea
Nausea or vomiting
Stomach discomfort or cramps
Dark-coloured stools (a common, harmless side effect of iron supplements)
Rarely, allergic reactions such as skin rash or itching

If you experience severe side effects or symptoms of an allergic reaction (e.g., swelling of the face, lips, tongue, or throat; difficulty breathing), seek immediate medical attention.

Ferrograd Dried Ferrous Sulfate 325mg Warnings

Do not take if you are allergic to ferrous sulphate or any other ingredients in this product.
Iron Overload Disorders: Ferrograd Filmtabs are not suitable for individuals with conditions like haemochromatosis, where the body stores excess iron.
Stomach or Intestinal Conditions: Use with caution if you have a history of stomach ulcers, inflammatory bowel disease, or any other gastrointestinal conditions.
Pregnancy and Breastfeeding: Consult your doctor before use if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding.
Missed Dose: If you forget to take a dose, take it as soon as you remember. Do not double the dose to make up for the missed one.
